Our history
The first Gnotec plant
The first automotive components was produced by MEFA.
The components was locking details for Volvo Cars PV and the Volvo Amazon and made MEFA focus more and more on the growing automotive industry.
Gnosjögruppen was created
During the end of 1980- and the beginning of 1990 the old Hagalunds and MEFA became part of the Gnosjö Group together with 10 other Swedish companies. In 2000 the Dutch company Schuttersveld took over the company and name was changed to Kendrion Automotive.
Gnotec Slovakia
Production in Cadca, Slovakia started.
Gnotec Kunshan in China
Gnotec MEFA was established in Kunshan, China, in the beginning with a sales office and there after also production to supportVolvo Cars local in China.
Gnotec Inc, Orangeburg
2019 Gnotec Group establish Gnotec Inc, in South Carolina, USA.
2019 Gnotec Group and Airtanks join forces and are now driving together the growing demand US Business in South Carolina.
Gnotec MEFA Group became Gnotec Group
2013 the Gnotec MEFA Group was bought of the Austrian stocklisted company Frauenthal. Since then, the name has been Gnotec Group with the vision to focus on developing and producing premium metalcomponents to the automotive and commercial vehicle industry of tomorrow.
