Frauenthal Gnotec Inc. is currently seeking for a Project Engineer. This position will, through excellent job performance, contribute to the company’s objectives regarding safety, quality, productivity, delivery, performance, and environment.
As a Project engineer at Frauenthal Gnotec, Inc. you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of automotive projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring that deliverables meet or exceed client expectations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the automotive sector, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive projects in accordance with client requirements, budget constraints, and timeline objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement teams, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and regularly monitor progress against established milestones and KPIs.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, ensuring that potential roadblocks are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within project teams, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Work closely with account managers and give feedback on any ECN changes and related cost changes of our projects to account manager timely.
- Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications needed:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification in project management preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing automotive projects from concept development through production launch.
- Strong understanding of automotive industry standards, processes, and best practices, with knowledge of relevant technologies and manufacturing processes such as APQP, PPAP, ITAF16969
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or similar applications.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to client sites, supplier facilities, and other project-related locations.
